Here is something that made my geekie lil heart go "Thump thump!"

Death Star Birthday Cake

I know a guy who would go into fits of pleasure just thinking about having one for his birthday!

That's very cool. But, just one problem--I prefer buttercream to fondant. Cake design is being overun with fondant!!!!!

I agree Sher. But in this case I would make an exception - as I consider it more a peice of art than a cake...

This wasn't a birthday cake, but a cake for a party at Shore Leave, a con in Hunt Valley, MD.

And it was delicious :-D

I just picked up another cake from Charm City, actually - an air hockey table (the pic is at my livejournal: http://masteralida.livejournal.com/1114678.html right now, more to come after the party), and we are having an Imperial Star Destroyer made for MarCon in May, 2007.

Hi Dana -

It is definately a rockin' cake. I am assuming that you are going to Marcon at the Hyatt Regency here in Columbus - if so, drop me a line and I will stop by to oogle your Star Destroyer...
